What “no electricity” means (and doesn’t mean)
In our units (except for the Le Massawippi mini-cabin): no electrical outlets, no refrigerator, no electric lighting. Instead: candlelight and battery-powered lanterns provided, heating by wood-burning stove or propane heater depending on the unit, and an 18-liter bottle of drinking water.
What this does NOT mean: being cut off from the world. The clubhouse, open 24 hours a day, offers high-speed Wi-Fi, charging outlets, unlimited Nespresso coffee, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and freezer, hot showers on heated floors, and restrooms.
A typical day, off the grid
In the morning: coffee (Nespresso at the clubhouse, or an Italian coffee maker in several units—bring your own ground coffee), natural light, no notifications. During the day: trails, heated pool, reading, a nap. In the evening: the fire replaces the screen—and that’s when the magic happens. Your phone? It charges at the clubhouse while you have dinner.
